Today is the final day of La Biennale di Venezia’s 77th International Film Festival. Some of our Pratt in Venice alumni are also accomplished filmmakers. In 2019, alumni Anqi Huang, Hongyin Chen, Kino Jin, and Richan Li collaborated to produce a short film, The 42 Days of Creation, which debuted at the Pratt in Venice 35th Anniversary Exhibition in October 2019 at Pratt Institute. These PiV participants are all graduates of the MFA Digital Arts—3D Animation and Motion Arts program in the Department of Digital Arts at Pratt.

Anqi Huang (PiV ‘19) is a New York-based artist from Qingdao, China. She received an MFA in Digital Arts—3D Animation and Motion Arts from Pratt Institute (‘20).
Hongying Chen (PiV ‘19) is a New York-based artist from Zhuhai, China. She studied Animation at Guangdong University of Technology in Guangzhou, China, and received an MFA in Digital Arts—3D Animation and Motion Arts from Pratt Institute (‘20).
Kino Jin (PiV ‘19) is a New York-based freelance illustrator and animator, who was born and raised in China. She received her BFA in Animation at Maryland Institute College of Art in 2017 and an MFA in Digital Arts—3D Animation and Motion Arts from Pratt Institute (‘20).
Richan Li (PiV ‘19) is an animator and illustrator based in Brooklyn, NY. She was born in Kunming, China, and came to the US when she was fifteen. Her practice explores the overlaps of languages, rituals, and intimacy, which she loves to export as thoughts in jpeg, gif, and mov. She earned a BFA in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA in Digital Arts—3D Animation and Motion Arts from Pratt Institute (‘20).
